SPECTRUM OF INNOVATION
Hosted by the Innovation + Entrepreneurship Scholars, this Iowa State Design conference 'Spectrum of Innovation' centered around challenging and celebrating the dynamic landscape of innovation across a range of fields. In line with this, the branding process began with considering how to apply existing brand elements in an unexpected way. However, designs were required to follow Iowa State Brand guides, which challenged and spurred our team to think of outside-the-box solutions.
Original "Innovate at Iowa State" Brand Guidelines and Experimentation with Elements
Preliminary poster designs and experimentation inspired a dotted connection theme as well as a geometric collage style that was then refined and expanded for use throughout the rest of the promotional materials.
Keynote Speaker Designs
Additional deliverables within our design package included an experimental poster design as a commemorative gift for participants, posters for the corresponding Ecologies of Care art exhibition, and a short animated loop from myself to advertise the speakers and reflect the space of the innovation center.
AWARDED
In this national competition, only 10% of participants are awarded among nearly 5,000 entries.
